ughhh soo im chilling this boring friday night. i could fix my presentation but ehh im not feeling it.

wellll, i started watching that new show Skins. i saw a few episodes of the UK one and its pretty good. kinda hope the USA doesnt get cancelled.

its pretty raunchy, and kinda ketty-friendly, i guess you can say that :S haha

and this shows filmed in Toronto. i noticed the ttc in some shots, street signs and all the aritzia clothes haha grrr like that one girl had the tna varsity jacket i wanted haha i have enough jackets but not a varsity one! well i had that pink roots one when i was in grade 2, that was a pretty sweet jacket.

Just a quick blog post because i'm at school and there's so much to do. Ugh anxiety attack, here i come!

But yea, i'm here early to get business done...it's business time!

I had a fun weekend, we went out to party for Maria's birthday. We had our own

booth and yes we were all pretty sloppy BUT still fun. We most definitely made it rain and snow...haha.

I pulled some Snooki moves....those moves consist of falling. Shame. I fell behind a couch and I fell outside when trying to make a call. So of course I'm in pain right now. Definitely paying for it now haha

Favourite Song (s)? It would have to be End of Line, Derezzed, Fall and The Son of Flynn. Many of you probably didnt even know I'm a huge Daft Punk fan. On my old computer where I update my Ipod, i have about every single album and random tracks they have. Booyah.

Gorillaz- Plastic Beach

Favourite Song(s)? It would have to be....the whole CD! It's so star studded (wellll maybe you havent heard of many of these people...)This one gets JR's approval too. They put on such a good show. Too bad they're never gonna tour together again (so they say!), lucky enough to catch their show in Toronto.

Various Artists- Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

Favourite Song(s)? Black Sheep, Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old and By Your Side. A really good movie soundtrack...and there is very little of Michael Cera singing. Dont get me wrong, love that kid but dont sing.

Favourite Song(s)? Catch Me If You Can, He's Not A Boy, Release Me, Wishing He Was Dead and Narcissus In A Red Dress. I heard about these girls way back in '09 when they opened for Arctic Monkeys and I guess you can say I eagerly awaited this one...only because you couldnt find MP3's or good videos on youtube. Funny fact: the drummer of this band is in the Scott Pilgrim movie, she plays the drummer in the band Clash at Demonhead haha now you know!

Surfer Blood- Astro Coast

Favourite Song(s)? Catholic Pagans, Swim, Take It Easy, Harmonix...OK i'm pretty much naming all the songs now! HAHA. I dont remember how I came across this band but I really love this CD. A lot of people say it reminds them of the Blue Album Weezer era(thats the good kind, my readers). It's such a good CD, strange enough I think of driving down the beach with your surfboard in the back seat. Mmmmmm but it doesn't help that theres a shark on the cover of the CD. Hmmmmmm....

MGMT- Congratulations

Favourite Song(s)? Siberian Breaks, Brian Eno, Song for Dan Treacy and Congratulations. I love this one, it's so psychedelic. You know me...I love psychedelic music. We were lucky enough to catch them in August after the April gig was a bust. Good show! AND we got to meet one half of the band...i guess the MT part haha.

Neon Indian- Psychic Chasms

Favourite Song(s)? 6669 (I Don't Know If You Know), Deadbeat Summer, and Should Have Taken Acid With You. Another good one thats very psychedelic. Shame on me but....this is actually from 2009. Don't judge! You dont know how hard it is for me to find good music. Geez...haters.

yea SO finally done with the take home exams. i can finally breathe a bit. i do have another essay proposal due but i just looked at my syllabus and its only 2-5 pages plus the annotated bibliography...which is not bad. AND i only need 3-5 sources for now. sweet.

school on the mind, always on the mind :S

but i did get to squeeze in some time to party. i actually celebrated my birthday with friends this year, so that was awesome. it was a small bunch but a cool bunch.

we went to the brunny, but i didnt get the memo because it mustve been the ugly dude convention haha im sorry but the last time i went....OMG

we also saw a degrassi kid AND frightened him. because someone had to go over and act as a wing man while i hid behind a post HAHAHHAAHA fail

yeaa then the following weekend was Sarahs bday, which was also a first for her. us december kids have it rough. it was at lot 332, we didnt have a great experience the last time but this one was slightly better because we did bottle service and had a booth. AND you can say it was a legit reunion because all the girls where there. WOOT!

yea moving on to xmas

it was alright. xmas gets a little less exciting every year. meh

i got money from my mom, but im just gonna buy my gift online because i dunno when and how ill get to vaughan mills. what i wanted was this sketching kit with all the pencils, sketch pad, a lil doll haha (those ikea looking ones from back in the day). i dont want to sound like a brat but im not a fan of recieving money but what are you gonna do.

everyone thought what i wanted was a cheesy gift, maybe thats why i didnt get it. strange enough my mom got me for kris kringle, she was always against me with my art. maybe not against but thought it wasnt the right career path for me. she wouldnt let me apply for an art program at u of t and blah blah blah lol but thats just my crazy thinking, i have issues when it comes to that stuff! enough of thaaaaaaaaat , ill save that for my psychiatrist, i dont think anyone would want to know.

but yea im also gonna need to find art classes! i was googling but they are hella- expensive, but ill keep searching around. i dont want a community centre class, i want something legit...but obviously, those will be the pricey ones. and i promised nataly id start wearing a beret if i go to these classes. in time, people, ill be picking up the pencil soon...not pastels though....grrrrr i hate those....but ill learn to love them.

got my glasses today...balller! it felt like i was going to the hospital to pick up my baby...its a boy! i shall name him ....Ray. haha

but yea yorkdale was crazay....as usual, so i didnt get to use my gift cards (H&M, $50 coupon to American Apparel, and Indigo). i didnt even get to go to Aritizia...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

but JR got so much clothes...jealous.

well...i must go out with a bang before November rolls in. i did have a super fun time this saturday with Liz. we went to the brunny and i dont know what was in those pitchers of beer they have but as in the words of liz "OMG so many sexy boys here"

and she was right...so right, but they were drunk. regardless, real hot. and yea guys just kept coming up to us like non stop, yea boys for days. haha Liz was alright to dance with any guys but i felt kinda weird (i never do!) because i kinda wanted to go to the brunny bc i was gonna see someone there (NOT WHO YOU THINK!!).

i didnt want this person to see me dance with Liz with twins and a bunch of random guys. FYI we danced with twins. pretty awesome if i might say.

BAHAHAHA gave them a fake name and peaaaaace! i dunno if its clear or not, but the person who i was gonna see there, i obviously like (DUH) and everyone and their mom believe the feeling is mutual. oh how sweet , gonna go throw up now hahahah wow im so going out there with this post.

ive misssed out on so many Mad Men reviews because True Blood is done, so i kinda forgot.

let me just sum up what i thought was interesting the past few weeks while i notice all these croissants crumbs in my keyboard. I would yell but im in the library.

-Joey gets fired. So freshed faced, so much potential...and UGH total douche...boundary-less.

-Anna Draper diiiiedddd....of cancer. Don couldve done something. May it hang over your head, baby. And he cries, Don...when you cry....I cry.

-Don goes on a date with Brittany again (she played Sarah on True Blood) and Betty (his ex wife) and her new husband were at the same restaraunt. L...O...L. Betty glares and makes dinner so awkward. NICE!

-we see Don at the gym. Doing laps at the pool....just wanted memories of that...haha

-Don makes Peggy work on her birthday when her boyfreind plans a surprise dinner (woo her family is there...i hate her family lol) and they break up. YES! Call up that hipster you made out with/ bores you with politics. He is a winner compared to your last pigfaced boyfriend. JUST SAYIN...

-Working on the night of my b-day w/ Don...Weinberg is in my mind, stealing my dreams. Mmmmmm. But he yells at Peggy...soooo i dont remember that being in my dream. BUT he apologizes and takes her out drinking. HOLLER. but Don is a lightweight and throws up. Don...let me hold your hair?

-Sally (his daughter) runs away from home to see Don. What a brat. But really, im keeping my fingers crossed for a spin off...just about Sally. Girl has issues. I wanna watch her spiral in the '70s.

-then she runs out of Dons office only to eat some SCDP floor.

-Roger and Joan start up their affair...AGAIN. Let's thank that mugger for stealing their wedding rings.

-and OMG...RIP Miss Blankenship. I wouldve loved to see something between her Don. hahahaha but still....RIP.

This weeks episode was all about the FBI getting info on Don and was freaking out!!!!!!!!!

FYI...

Don Draper is an imposter...kinda. His real name is Dick Whitman. Don Draper is the name of someone he fought with in the war who was killed in combat and there was a name mix up. So he took it and ran....because life as Dick Whitman was pretty crappy. SO RUN AND TELL THAT!

Poor guy thought he was having a heart attack after seeing two men in his hallway. He thought it was the FBI but really just some randoms. And he puked some more. But all was fixed by Pete (they were doing so well with keeping him off the show. GRR hes such a rat)

After the mugging incident, stuff went down with Joan and Roger (if chu you know what i mean) ANYWAYS, she pregnant. WHA! Cant pass it off as her husbands...BECAUSE hes in 'Nam! OH SNAP! Anyways, Rogers says he'll take care of it. In otherowrds, he's paying the abortion. They see her doctor and hes tearing off Rogers head for taking advantage of Joan. Talk about discretion..PFFT..YEEEESH!

Mr. Lane Pryce has a new girlfriend. She works at the Playboy bunny club and shes black, clearly frowned upon at that time, but whatever, power to you Mr. Lane! OH and introduces his father while shes at work...while in her bunny uniform. It's a cute uniform btw. But it ends in all kinds of bad.

heres my mad men/ true blood review. brace yourself. hold on to something!

HOKAY mad men

we find out that Pete's wife Trudy is expecting a baby and Peggy Olsen is all like hell noo. BC she had a baby with Pete and gave it up for adoption.

But thats ok...Peggy makes friends with the art director from LIFE magazine thats also in the same building as Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce...PHEW thats along name. ANYWHO this girl she made friends with is a hipster and invites her a psychedelic art show that gets raided by cops and finds herself with some dude hipster. she then proceeds to make out with him because she was high/drunk.

then theres some focus group held at the office with the secretaries in the office where a lot of them cried bc they want to get married. it was weird. so im just like omg please shut up! i dont even remember what the product was but it got all depressing watching these women cry. anyways don and the rest were behind the glass watching and his stupid secretary was in the focus group..crying! UGH

so she ran out and peggy followed her and told her all about how she and don slept together and must know what its like. and Peggy was all like hell no!!! Peggy's sympathy for this stupid chick went out the window. She so shot down that notion.

so stuuuupid secretary quits and asks Don to write her a letter of recomendation while Don does pay her much attention. he says just write the letter and he'll sign it like he does with all the other work. that clearly pisses her off bc she throws a glass and the wall and says "YOURE A VERY MEAN PERSON!" hahah peace out! like what was she expecting!!!

and then Don gets a new secretary. FYI SHES OLD...but will he still seduce her? hire me don draper, k? and then get into my dreams....oh yea

so last night was the MGMT concert. it was soooo good. ive always wanted to see them live and i was pleased!

yes the mod club show couldve been better (still kicking myself about it) only bc the venue is much smaller

soo let me tell you, it really was quite the interseting crowd. young/ old. moms and dads. minors. entry level alts (AHH they piss me off...but i must admit i was one at one point but i didnt travel in a pack of them!!)

the opening band was Violens. they were good, the set didnt feel too long. the guitarist looked like Michael Cera. if you didnt know i kinda love Michael Cera

and it was already 10pm and MGMT were still not on stage. divas? maaaaaaaaaaybe!

yea they made their way to the stage and it was very psychedelic!

so we attempted the waiting by the bus thing bc last time it was a bust. last time it was the end of semptember and freeeezing. with it being summer, it wasnt too bad.

we kept shuffling around to different areas to see what was a good spot. while shuffling, we'd see the random band members. i dont know their names. i think Andrew and Ben's names were the ones only worth knowing. i dont see these dudes on the cd covers. mhhhhhmmmmmm

anyones we get stuck in this cage like thing and everyone points it out. they werent laughing when we got the most attention. i guess i have to thank those crazy little girls. "omg guys my mom is waiting outside the loblaws". i laughed when they said that but then i looked at the time on my cell and said "ohh i better call mommy!!"

anyways they knew everyones name...EVERYONES! so theyd come to our side. a lil freaky but worked out to our advantage.

we got to meet one half of MGMT. Oh Ben what a sweetheart and shy.

unlike the other one HMMMPH! but im sure Andrew did come outside eventually. but it was already 1:30 am in the morning. and thats a little too long to wait. im a fan but not a SUPER fan (cough cough little girls)

but really it was a good show!

and snoop dogg was just as amazing too. the venue was perfect. im not saying the guvernment was the best place ever. ive never even been clubbing there. but it was a good crowd

people were dressed as video hoes. see i vowed never to dress like that to a concert. youre standing for hours, your feet will get stomped on. will it be worth it????

i loved the opening of the show. it was a montage of all these gangster movies. so good!

i was pleased with his setlist. of course he played the songs i knew. whoot whooot and his security guards were scary!!!! one of them definetely went crossed eyed!

it was an early show, so we were out of there quick before the clubbers came in. we were looking for merch but we were guided in the wrong decision. around the corner my ass!

but we continued to search for the right after party. but we couldnt find the official after party and after various attempts to tweet reply him, no luck.

we ended up at some hipster bar that looked like a basement. it was jamaican night!

hahaha good weekend! 2 concerts in a week...that hasnt happened since....2004!! DAMN!

mad men AND true blood were equally good this week. YAY!!

its august and it was already a mad men xmas!!!

you know what that means....a crazy office party. and a crazy xmas party it was!

but the best was when Don Draper left his apartment keys at home, so he calls his secretary to bring it to him. first off, noooo chemistry between these two.

so he invites her in and stuff...and lets just say something else happened..cough cough. but it was an awkward scene. ohh but the day after was even better when Don calls the secretary in only to thank her for bringing in his keys and shes all like "...but..." "..thank you for the keys!".

AWKWARD! then he hands her an envelope, inside was a xmas card that said merry christmas don draper, and im guessing her xmas bonus. and shes just like "......". cmon what did you want him to write! he's Don Draper!!! go back and type on your green typewriter....

and can we not forget...cute newcomer, Joey (who does what at the office...i dunno!) fyi i did not make this collage!

in true blood, people die. lorena is finally dead, bout time! jason looking like the babe he is but not the smartest: "i thought i wasnt smart enough to get depressed" haha

im starting to think Crystal is marrying her cousin. only because thats what her brother who's in jail was going to say. but i still stand by my other theories: mermaid, alien, unicorn, werewolf.

last weekend plans got all messed up. and the only one that was down like a clown to go out was reshma, the reshmeister!

we had to go dooo something bc shes gonna be leaving good ol' Canada for a very long time.

yea i had a bit of a cold but with the G20 thing going on before that, i felt like i was going crazy.

noo i didnt have any plans but it did stop me from having any. anyways that G20 was a total embarassment to the city.

ANYWAYS this was the first time me and resh went to a bar(s) together. so it was fun!

started off at jack astors in yorkville. you know its jack astors...in yorkville, people can go to fancier places.

maybe they should call it Jacque A' Stors. MUCH BETTERRR, it has a french touch to it.

well we wanted jack astors bc were craving the chicken parmesan and i wanted the chicken tenders...aka chicken fingerrrs!!!

then we went to the madison house. which is always a good time

now a lesson in approaching people. ask a funny question....it tends to work, sometimes it wont.

some nerdy guy (not the kinda nerdy i like) came up to us and asked us a question. ``k so brown haired are called brunettes, there are blondes and redheads, but what do you call dark haired people...`` . yea it got us thinking

and then these girls came up to the bar where a guy comes up to them and says soo ive been watching you girls....K thats your moment to ruuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!

definetely not what we usually go to but its always fun. you can literally dance like no-one is watching haha

sooo after working a bit over a year at the doctors office, i would ALWAYS hear the commercial for Jersey Boys every night . it almost drove me to madness...but id find myself singing along to it after.

i have 2 gym memberships. how bad-ass is that?

well the new one i joined is a lot closer and the buses need to get there are very frequent (which is good!)

and best of all, no dress code. i am free to wear shorts and tank tops. hurray!

now i am in need of a good gym playlist. most of my songs are not fitting for a gym.

on one TV, the channel is set to Much Vibe, which is excellent inspiration because i wanna look like a video ho.

for real. its been mine and reshma's dream since highschool. walking home and a limo pulls up and a window rolls down and this record label guy with sunglasses saying "girls, do you wanna be in a snoop dogg video?" this is for real. we're still hoping it happens.

so im need of good songs to get me pumped.

what i have that be on my list would be some M.I.A, major lazer (pon de floor tututuuttutruruuturtuut, haha i cant help it i love that song), i dunno. i cant think of anything else. haha any suggestions?

The Like is gonna have their new cd out June 15..or 16 to be correct. Saw them open up for my boys, Arctic Monkeys.

Not usually a fan of girl bands (boy crazy, dont judge) but they totally won me over. Now I feel like I shouldve gotten a photo with them while I had the chance.

so this april 29th, 2010 i might have the pleasure of seeing mgmt live at the mod club. i have yet to download the new cd...which ive already heard because they leaked it themselves.

besides just knowing their music, i was bored this morning and just look at some random interviews. omg..i love them. to be honest they seemed like pretenious serious looking guys but i was sooo wrong. they seem like chilled out guys. i have a feeling that if i just hang around their tourbus and ask if i can chill with them , theyd like oooook (and look spaced out while doing so haha)

hahaha yea i know some clips are repitive. but it is pure gold.

the lead singer andrew is something. he is hilarious. i just wanna be psychadelic with him and bring him home to my mom and dad. they probably wouldnt approve but he has money so then i think my parents would approve. good...because i need a castle...and a yacht and enough strongbow to last me 2 years.

yea so this was my last weekend of freedom before exams start.

SO liz and i went downtown la di daaa to the hard rock cafe to see a friends band perform. theyre called the faculty. go check them out! so yea they were good but as soon as the set was done we bounced to meet some friends outside. after standing on the corner of yonge and dundas and getting cards stuck in atm machines, we decided to hit up dance cave.

hahha i love that place. its so random and looks like the storage room in my house haha. people are so random and funny. people are grinding to obscure indie music (guilty hahhaa just kiddddding or am i!! hahaha) and people are pisssed drunk.

random people will talk to you, and yea people talk to you at other clubs to but these situations are funnier. yea so im at the bar bc i was i given cash money to by drinks for me and liz. im stepping on this rail thing on the bar so i look taller and get noticed. some bearded hipster dude (one of millions there haha) taps me on the shoulder.

hes like oh did you manage to buy drinks? im like nooo. and he says ohh in a disapointed tone. i say 'its a hard knock life , a lil jay z for today' and hes like hahahhahaa youre funny...and tall!

haha you crazy for this one jay! so i jump off the rail as i get my drinks. hes like WHOA youre short! bro was like my height! haha

apparentyl the whole world knows about darlenes bday and were expecting to me to get crazy...and to get loud hahha. its on everyones newsfeed. stop stalkin my life on the boardwalk haha

super fun night. dancing, slapped someone in the face, ummm BUT i never got my mc flurry!

k well the next outting is liz's bday. epicness shall persue. get crazy get loud! and mc flurrries. i am not leaving downtown til i get my mc flurry. no nonsense about there no being any oreo crums!

k now i must hit the copies of articles i had to print bc my prof believed it was easier but in reality it blows bc the price of an ink cartridge is the same as a coursekit!!!!!

im still in awe right now

i saw the amazing-ness that was MUSE last night

so extremely lucky that i managed to get tickets for that. it really was a gold ticket because we don't know when they will ever tour N.America again.

and jr got to go to a really cool concert...his first TOO!

mine was nsync which was equally cool!

our seats were really good because we were seat one and two. soo really no-one sat in front of me and jr because it was just a bunch of steps.

OH and the seats next to me were empty...like all three. haha

got my merch. ahh i wanted all of it! the posters, the shirts, mugs ahhhhh im gonna give all my money to muse!

the opening band was silversun pickups. they were alright, i really only knew 2 of their songs (which they played) so i didnt look like a fool!

bunch of loud yet entertaining guys, jr gave one advice to take the beer top (good call jr, bc they were pretty wasted and i dont want beer in ma haaair haha)

the best was after he bought it:

ohh reading week has come to an end.

this reading week i actually got some partying and reading done. its a first. because usually its usually just reading and not doing anything at all. like not even meeting friends for lunch or dinner.

well. technicially i finished thursday around noonish because in my anthro class we wacthed "the gods must be crazy". so funny. haha

UMMM

so sat. went to wreckroom and then to dance cave which was a first. i got overly excited at both places because you know they play stuff i like.

like everysong id be like "omg its ____, i love it (insert fist pump)...k no? ill stop now!" hahaha im very serious

and really how do you dance to alt/indie/ electro stuff. i just observed. ehh when in doubt fist pump a bit. just put your hands in the air hahahha but then again everyone in that place was WAAASTED. you can look like a fool on the dancefloor. like me and liz were telling others is that we're not used to dancing to this kinda music so it might get a bit..hmmm...i dunno what is the right word to use...but if you've been to richmond street, you'll know hahaha

i was contemplating whether or not i should have gone up to the dj and request dancing shoes by arctic monkeys. everrrrrybody clear the danceflooor! haha but atleast they played '1901' by my favourite boys from versailles, Phoenix. wooot. feel good song of the year...for me atleast! haha

got a group photo with pajama man. he's there everyweek at dancecave. he brought us samosas. haha and yes he wears pajamas!

it was a good valentines/family day/anas bday weekend. wooot

UMMMM then liz, sarah, darlina and i ventured somewhere north. k not tooo north. just somewhere near hwy 7 for a sushi buffet.

sarah suggested it. she knows the way to my heart...a sushi date haha

the place looked real legit. very nice! but once again, our service was pretty crummy.

but it can be a good thing if youre at a buffet. btw its not like mandarin buffet style where you get up and get your food. you order and the waiter brings it you.

but ya our waitress was taking her sweet sweeet time but ya i saw as it as an ok thing because you have a giant break to BREEEAAATHE. you know make room for round2...3...4.....5.....6.....7...contemplated 8..but just ended with a green tea. hahaha

im only gonna order things i know and not ask what is in what. i asked our waitress whats in the green dragon roll. i didnt understand what she said, so i said "oooh ok". i guess she thought i still wanted it and brought it out. it looked good so we ate it. but the meat or fish or w.e looked kinda weird. it was def. not crab or salmon. YUP it was eel. and i had quite a few.

just the fact that it was eel grossed me out. ohh well! yaaa it was all sooo good. now i def. need to get on kanyes workout plan now!

then i also helped vanessa pack her clothes. SO MUCH CLOTHES. vanessa if youre reading this..YOU HAVE TOO MUCH CLOTHES haha. slowly getting her back into Maison B.

now saturday was the piece of resistance in the reading week.

it was carolyns birthday party. we headed downtown for some pool and kareoke

you know just being us....reckless! haha

spilling other peoples beer bottles...tipping over foosball tables to get more balls hahaa

attempted to play pool. it was not so great! MISS...another miss! so bad haha

just buying carolyn shots because she demanded it! really. she had her own little dance for shots haha

then we headed to karoke that was right across the street. i was ready to get my sing on. ready to get people deaf. ahh im so rad! haha

a really good selection of songs. a RANDOM selection. like stuff you would find in my ipod but i spared people by just singing some of the mainstream stuff. haha

me and dar broke the ice by singing baby got back. you know..with lyrics, you think it would be easy. but i didnt realize how fast the song was. i just would shout out words that i remember...like jane fonda....honda...take your picture. haha it was all mumbling haha

well i joined in a lot of songs. so honest when people get so bad and just give up and leave the mic unattended, ill kinda just pick it up. haha

and it made me mad when people ruined songs. like bonnie and clyde '03. my favourite! facepalm, facepalm, facepalm! haha

then we all did stop by spice girls. excellent team effort. or voices and singing was not so excellent. but thats what makes it fun.

ohh but the best (or not so best) was me rapping to flashing lights. i think theres a reason why facebook keeps freezing when i want to post it. its just me shouting in the mic backed up by all these guys singing the chorus. i felt like such a STAR! and my hand..i wasnt fist pumping. but i kept raising it. haha

then i stepped out for a bit to find some friends on yonge and dundas. so im walking and i realize im going the opposite way. AHHHH haha. i just stopped on the street realizing why it wasnt looking so bright/flashy and i turn around and im like OOOH theres the AMC. fml.

soo we're all chilling in the lobby/bar of this kareoke place. a lot of bonding haha over american apparel. ahhh id kill for some discounts haha welll..k not killl
